Problem with cad cam. Won’t let me weld!!

    The part I’m working on stopped letting me weld. I can still weld two shapes together but nothing to my part. I’m trying to weld a small rectangle to my part. I’m going threw the proper steps, once I click the weld symbol my rectangle stays and my part disappears. Really could use some help.

    Had open contours, objects wizard fixed it. Haven’t cut anything yet. I am able to weld now.
