Hey guys/Gals.. Got a question on the torchmate stepper motors.. I have a slipping issue and I believe its inside the stepper motor itself.. The backlash nut seems good.. When I disconnect the worm and spin the motor it feels like a gear jumping or something.. Anyone encounter this before??

Hard to say TM makes many different types of tables, I am assuming you are referring to a Growth Series table, you disconnected the motor from the Acme screw and spinning the motor shaft itself, it should feel slightly notchy due to the magnets inside and turn relatively freely with no jerky movements.

Yes it's a growth series 2x2.I did all that as well and it was very jerky when I spun it. It didn't want to spin freely at all. I just ordered another motor for it from torchmate.. hopefully it fixes the problem. The timing for my issue sucks because I'm swamped.. lol
