Actually this was all discussed a year ago. Here's the link. http://fabricationforum.com/threads/growth-series-still-growable.181/
I bought my machine a year ago and they now tell me parts are unavailable. Lincoln has taken our money and left us on the side of the road. I am very disappointed. I need to replace my backlash nut and can get no information. I see there are others on the site who are having the same problem. There is a pattern to the deception and Lincoln should be responsible and make it right.
Chad, What are we to do if the backlash nuts wear out on the 4x4 GS. It does happen and I need one to keep my one year old machine running. I had an earling TM table for 5 years and had to replace the backlash nuts on that one too. This part should be considered a consumable.
Planned obsolescence. If they provided parts to extend the life of our growth machines we would have no reason to buy a new one. I just bought a gently used manual height control assembly from a member. I had to buy a piece of cold rolled bar stock from my steel supplier to replace the worn guide bar on my gantry. I sourced the bearings from another supplier. After 6 years I haven't needed to replace the backlash nuts yet but I'm sure they are made by someone else if Torchmate won't sell them to you. I love my 2x4 and run the hell out of it but I am also disappointed Torchmate kicked us to the curb.
Can you get me the specs or file for the side rails for the 4'? I'm going to have a place make them for me so I don't screw it up Also I will need a price on the 4' acme screw if you can pm me the price on 2 of them
