I have a 4800 table and have been using the Green Cut plasma fluid. After a week of cutting, the water is no longer green and has turned to a sewer color brown. Anyone else having this problem and what is the best fluid to use in the tables? I have seen other tables online that seem to keep pretty green water all the time.
We use a water/sodium nitrite solution in ours and green food coloring with zero problems so far. Have to top the water table off periodically but this mix works great for us. Only thing with this solilution is depending on what type accumove your running could lead to premature consumable wear. https://torchmate.com/uploads/downloads/Technical_Bulletin__TM_Plasma-Additives.pdf
Watch out for the Sodium Nitrate based products as it starts to corrode the copper in the torch body.
I can't get greencut in my place and washing soda is virtually impossible to find here. So I use sodium carbonate. I basically cook the (arm and hammer) baking soda til there's no more heat fountains and it has this sandy texture. I retain the PH level of water to 9+. Pretty cheap and effective.
I've heard rumors that Pico Quench Guard works dandy, without the shipping form Canada! Plus gives you that nice "green" color.
