We used our table to cut a bunch of rectangular pieces for a job. It seems after checking a few pieces they are out of square about a 1/4 of an inch. We did have some issues with the limit switch on the gantry causing us to be out of square. I thought I resolved the issue after switching the limit switch with a different one on the machine per Tech Support help I had. I need to get that part number for that limit switch. My squaring issue is a big problem as that is what we cut a lot of on the table. It also seems to drift on some cuts. I am at a lost with this machine. My company owner wants me to get this resolved or see how we can get someone out to look at it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

An Accumove TM X table will square itself every time you press Datum. This only works if the limit switch actuators are set up in the correct position, press Datum then Login as Admin, click on Machine Settings then the Advanced Tab for Axis 2 and 4 change the Seek function to No. On the Basic Tab for Axis 1 click on the Minimum Value and press Ok leaving the value at Zero, this will disable the drives, press Ok to exit Machine Settings. Now you can pull the gantry into the hard stops by hand, press Datum and the Y axis will stay where it is at, jog Y off the hard stops. Position the front right switch so that it is touching its actuator, the 1/8" bracket that goes across the guide rail, compare this with the back left limit switch, it should be touching its actuator at the same time. If not adjust the left limit switch actuator as it is slotted and can be adjusted front to back, so that it is touching the limit switch just like the front right one.

You can then go back to the Advanced Tab and change Axis 2 and 4 back to Yes for the Seek function, as gantry should now be square to the side rails, you can double check it using the 3.4.5 rule to check for a 90 degree angle.

I checked the machine and it was within a 1/16". I had to cut some rectangular pieces that were 17 5/8" x 36". The operator proceeded to cut them out of a piece he used plate alignment on and they were an 1/8" different when I took measurements of the piece. one end was at 17 9/16" and the other end was at 17 7/16". I checked the middle and it was at 17 1/2". We tried it again without doing plate alignment and just picked a point on the drop we were using and it was where we needed it to be minus the kerf. We were at 17 9/16" at the same 3 points. I am not sure if we are doing the plate alignment wrong or if something is happening to the program when it is put in after the plate alignment is done. Any help with figuring this out would be helpful. Our next option would be to get a Tech out to look at the machine. If I needed to do that what has to be done to get a Tech to my location to look at the machine.

To do plate alignment, you press Align Corner on the lower left corner of the sheet, then jog down the length of the sheet in the Y axis to align the left edge of the plate using Y and X, then press Align Edge. To reset the software back to 90 press Align Corner and press Align Edge in the same location.

On-site service is arranged through Parts is a flat fee and is generally reserved for 3 days on-site.
