Good morning everyone, and I will start by saying thanks for the help. Last week while we were gone on our school's spring break. The electricians came in and moved my ground, to a ground rod position through the concrete. Now my machine doesn't work. not sure why? I don't get it. To me, it acts like the OMC sensor is not picking up the plate. It will drop down and hit the material hard and start dragging. I can go in and set material height and run it manually and it will ignite the plasma and cut. But nothing will work while on auto. Just berries itself and drags. Not sure why the new ground would have anything to do with this or turning the machine and computer off for a week. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Scott
If this is an Accumove controller, under Job Setup with Ohmic Sensing turned On, it should not begin to travel unless it finds Ohmic. To find ohmic the orange wire needs to have a path of least resistance to the ground terminal on the VFC box. Meaning VFC is grounded to table frame as well as Accumove box grounded to same location on table frame, and checking with a multimeter you have continuity between the material and that ground location on the table frame. Checking the ohmic clip on machine torch is touching the copper shield cap. You can login as Admin, go to Machine Settings then the Advanced Tab and press the button Relay Output to On, press Ok. You can then jog the torch to touch off the material to see if it detects Ohmic, if not use a test wire to run from the orange wire on the clip to the ground location on the table, to see if it detects Ohmic.
