Talking with Jeff Knoll he said I should get over here and post. I have been fabricating and welding for a lot of years. If I can ever help with anything or answer questions let me know. The following are just some random things I'm building in the shop. My shop is Motobilt and my name is Dan DuBose. www.motobilt.com Interior in the rock bouncer is starting to come together.
Welcome aboard Dan, I really like the stacked flange detail on that access cover. I have never considered adding a three dimensional feature to stuff like this, but it really makes a simple cover pop.
I see your stuff on IG and your wifes. You have some amazing talent! I want to do a diff cover like you did but i can't figure out the 3d parts to save my life
Try building a foam core or cardboard template and than pulling it apart. Simple, quick and inexpensive way to experiment with 3D stuff if you don't use a higher end CAD program.
Love the aluminum Motobilt. Nothing like the being in the zone and the serenity of a long smooth aluminum TIG weld. Very nice work sir!
Yes sir we are cutting parts everyday. We have been slammed at the shop and have not had as much time to post. I will try and update you guys soon.
