I’m working on this address sign and the cut quality of the numbers and letters is not so great. See pictures.

What is causing the jaggedness, and how do I fix this? Note on the number 3, part of it is jagged but the sweeping arc is very nice - I can't figure this! The letters are about 1" tall and the number 3 is 2-1/4”. The open area of the letters is about 1/8” wide.

    Info:
    GS 4x4 w/AM2
Flexcut 80 w/40A consumables (fresh). FC set to 40A
    11Ga steel HR
    CH .08
CS 55ipm (line speed test shows 50-55ipm best)
    SV 115
    PH .16
    PD .3
80 psi air (air is clean/dry)

    Thanks!

Ok, I did a forum search and some others had similar issues as me. In my case it ended up being the 90 deg. lifter station bracket. When I tapped the lifter station you could see the vibration. So I removed this, mounted the LS directly to the gantry and this fixed the jagged cut issue. I also tweaked some pierce points and lead-ins and this helped on a couple of the thin letters.

i too had jagged cuts when the lifter station was mounted on the right angle tool bracket... removed it an walla.... jagged cuts disapeared. only downside was that i lost about 1.5 inches in the y direction

That bracket was a bit of a mistake. I'm surprised TM equipped the tables with it as sensitive as it is to the acceleration/deceleration of the torch mount. I think the less mass the table has to move around the better too.

Interesting, I have The 2x4 Torchmate with the angle bracket and it never created the problem.
Just must be some do some don’t.

good to know about this one. I've also read that vibration can really cause the jagged cuts
