way to many lines to use run from torch position. the machine reset the job for some unknown reason in the middle of a job and i have no idea how to skip to where i was. in the old driver software there was a "jump" feature but there doesn't appear to be one in the new VMD.
really zoom in where you want to start by holding left mouse down and dragging . hover mouse over the place you want to start and right click, select run from here
Or if you still are using the touch screen... hold youu finger on the screen and release. Will pop up the "right click" menu
Yep, but it causes it to search through 30000 lines and that takes forever. And it doesn't show what' been "cut" so it' hard to know if I'm running it from the right spot. Its bad enough I'm wondering if I should go back to the old software, got a cut loss or a torch break and it starts the whole cut again even if it cut to completion. Can I run old software on a 4400?
define "old software" Also you don't have to start all over again as you just do a RUN FROM HERE. The piece on the table is a fantastic reference to what has already been cut... . In the HMI display, the part shows white when the part is already cut to where as the red is still waiting to cut. The rapid travels are the dotted lines.
here is a video of what it looks like to use the run from here feature for me. PLEASE tell me there is an easier/faster way lol. you can see the torch slowing way down causing a huge kerf width so i need to speed that up as well. sometimes it causes a cut loss thus requiring a start from here because if i just hit run job it gives a cut loss error.
It says 4.4 on the top banner. There is a lot of options that are in the manual that don't show up on this version, like the version button for instance. This is killing me because in the old driver software I would just hit jump and go back 3 steps and it would show everything cut up to that line in Goode. If I could select a Goode line and tell it to run from here that would solve this problem.
You may find jogging the torch close to the position you wish to resume easier than touching on the graphics. Jog torch to resume position & press 'Resume From Torch Position'. The crosshair will show the relative position of the torch to the graphic as you jog giving a visual aid, useful if the resume position is part way down the centre of the table. Same principles apply, the torch needs to be with tolerance of the point to resume or it will return unable to find start point.
I see that the vmd software is somewhat different than what I currently have. I would like to try the new features of the new software...Chad...Any chance of getting this software for my growth series machine or will it not work on my machine?
In either case, jogging or selecting it takes like a minute to search through the Goode. I'm Looking to avoid all of that downtime.
So here' What I'm talking about. Had a torch breakaway so I zoomed in to reverse back to the last spot the torch had cut and 3 min later it finished searching and I could start. Any way I can just reverse or skip to line?
