I just got some of these new 40amp precision cut nozzles and shield caps for the Flexcut 80. I couldn't find any info on how to use these, settings, etc. Anything I should watch out for? Thanks!

Only will work on 11 gauge and under, run a line speed test to determine the best cut quality.

Thanks for the reply. I am getting a feel for them. Is the shield cap supposed to block all the air? The standard caps have a circular array of air holes, these just have one big central opening that seems to fit around the nozzle and block the air. (?)

I’m running a Hypertherm but the fine cut consumables make a considerable difference for me in cut quality. I have to keep an eye on pierce splatter getting stuck to the tip. In-between cuts I’ll usually give the torch tip a rub with my finger to knock any off.
