    Hi all,

Newbie here, I thought I would share a few pics of my build on the 2x2 table. I got a good deal on a new to me never ran gantry unit.

After verifying it was in good working order I started building a table for it. Plans were to keep it a portable one piece self contained unit.

    Finished at last

A few parts and critters too:

The only draw back to this table is the 2'x2' size it cuts, so I am using it to make the pcs / parts for a 6'x12'.

I will do a write up on that when it is finished. Feel Free to ask away with any questions..

    Thanks Doug,

It's was a good learning experience, what I learned on that build I am applying to the 6'x12' table.

Great idea! Those 2x2s were perfect for the smaller facility and mobile/cart cutters.

    Chad,

The 6x12 is going to be the same concept just bigger. If I want to move it to another part of the shop just raise the leveling legs and roll away..

On that bolt together I would assume you are putting some cross members to the base of the legs will help rigidity along with keeping things square overall.

    Correct,

The main frame is 10" H beam, laterals are 4" I beam strapped in place with corner brackets as well:

    350 gal water tank & 250 gal water table = 3/16" HR:

Water tank supported by 6" C and 14" inch I beam:

The legs are 4"x6" rect. 1/2" wall, The casters are rated to 16k each. The 2-1/2" x 1/4" square
tubing leveling legs will be attached via the two 5/8" holes top / bottom of Segoman.

I am going to pump this table so I can incorporated a filter / separator
to prolong water changes and save $ on anti-rust chemicals.

    Thanks for the comments,

Anyone that has used C's or I's are familiar with the 10* angle on the beam flanges making it hard to bolt things together with out a wedge washer, This required drilling and tapping of 100's of holes.

Drill jigs were incorporated to make "E" all of the above fit when it was bolt together time:

    Tap time:

Braking of the water pan I had to leave a notch on the ends to allow for the punch as the machine shop did not have sectional punchs :
