How so, is one of your drive motors not engaging.

yes one is very hard to turn by hand the other works fine, spoke with parts people and they suggest to test the cable and the drive card before ordering new motors. Apparently if I change 1 to the new upgraded motors I will need to change both. But I have no idea on how to do this

With the controller on and connected you should not be able to move the motor shaft as motor has holding power. With the controller off you should be able to turn the motor shaft easily by hand. If one motor shaft is has more resistance to turn than the other then I would suspect the motor is bad. The motors on an Accumove controller have not changed, replacing one motor you do not have to replace both. If you have an older 4x4 growth series table then it maybe that your motors have a square molex connection rather than a round xlr connection, if square molex on the motor end then you would need to buy motor and motor cable.

Update ; Parts in today, I changed the stepper motor and motor cable the issue is still there. When the machine is powered up I can still turn the pully by hand on the new motor. Even manually pushing the gantry is very difficult on the 1 side. Have cleaned all parts along the way no dirt nothing binding is it possible along with the drive motor issue could the Acetal flanged sleeve bearing may need replacing causing the resistence ?

Maybe. Get some dry silicone lubricant and spray the lead screws down. Then jog the machine up and down. You can also just look at those backlash nuts and see if they are gummed up or not.

Another thing to check is to swap the motor cables on the back of the controller. Shut off the controller and swap the two y motors and see if the problem stays on the one side.

Changed the backlash washer and cleaned the main screw and now can move the gantry by hand. When I switched the cables, the problem went to the other motor it would not engage and I could turn the pulley by hand with no resistance. Would this indicate a drive card issue and if so is it a matter of opening the Accumove 2 and replacing something ?

Good evening, I was wondering if parts closes for the summer, anyone ???? I have not received a return email or phone call from them since may 25/17. Now the machine has sat for 14 days while the problem was rectified and I have paid for the motor and cable to be flown in at a cost of $200.00 Canadian, which was not the problem, but at least I have extra parts. I really need a response regarding this circuit board and how fast I can get it here. As of next Wednesday I will be forced to giving deposits back for custom work that needs to get out which total about $1750.00 and I,m sure I will lose customers. Waiting to here Something !!

    Regards
    Gary
