Projected Run Time

    im using the VMD software and can't find out how long a job is projected to take. Can anyone give me a clue

    The run time displayed is real time, not projected. You would need to do a dry run to get an estimated completion time.

    Rats, So I understand you to say there is now way to see how long it will take to run a program?

    If the VMD software is the same as it's predecessor, the projected run time that is displayed is essentially 'plasma ON' time. It doesn't take into account travel, plate sensing time etc etc. An estimated run time of 4:00 can take 15 minutes to complete.

    The VMD does not "scan" the gcode and estimate a time prior to running. You would have to do a dry run to get an accurate time.
