right because your text is not ARRANGE/MALE PATH prior to your tool path.

really all you need is in SEQUENCE/SEQUENCE BY LIST is to select the OUTSIDE cut and press TO BACK.

The rest doesnt matter as long as the end cut is last.

Started all over with triangle and text went though your instructions and yahoo worked again. Thanks Chad, I need a brake from this stuff, I'm going to go to the shop and see if I can cut it out with plate markings. Have 2 files I think I can work with. Thanks again for hanging in there with me. Well let you know how it goes. (Is this what the remote list is suppose to look like)

Tried both files the one with the pics of the remote list that I send you only did a 1.5" V then plasma. The other was more messed up a .25 but tried to do a connecting script but stopped and went to the plasma stopped it didn't want to waste any material. I'll keep trying till I hear from you again.

I got it :D!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you guys so much.... I had to select the text>layout> ungroup>arrange> text to graphic>arrange>make path, then I followed Chad's step by step instructions. Wouldn't let me just do it by making a path. Can't wait until I can sign and date my art pieces. Just can't thank you enough guys!!!!! Nice to know your out there and again thank you for this forum...

Ok I'm trying to get this design into gcode with my name and date. I broke path> selected both> How do I deselect the hole in the middle I want that to be a male tool path?

If the hole needs to be separate then select that area and go to ARRANGE/BREAK PATH. off click then select just the hole. Unless you GROUPED them then you will just go to UNGROUP.

The sequence you are describing seems to be a little cumbersome and could be causing you the issues you are having. So let me break it down into some easy steps for text.

    Text creation

When you select the text tool, select your font either by the drop down or the detective.

Type it out and verify that you are correct.

    Go to ARRANGE/TEXT TO GRAPHICS

Then while it is still selected go to ARRANGE/MAKE PATH

Now the text is in one piece so no need to "group"

You can then generate your tool path on it along with the others.
If you are doing plate marker on mulitple items then you would just hold down SHIFT key and select the items you want then ARRANGE/MAKE PATH on those items.

Also looking at your plate marker you want to run the feed rate from about 40-60 ipm anything faster and you start to catch up to the platemarkers osculation causing the stipple effect.

Is this what is meant by layering? Working with the nodes in my design right now. I love being able to tweak my designs. They're looking a lot better. Thanks again guys....

What do you find your go to settings for the plate marker oscillation and air? 3 and 15 psi is what I'm leaning towards.

The regulator controls the up/down motion of the plate marker. So I don't like to go higher than 15 as it makes too much movement in the up/down stroke. 3 is a good mar for MS. If you want to make the tip last then just regulate the depth with the speed instead of the dial indicator.
