I must be missing a step the G70 is the plasma it keeps generating as tool1. Did a dry run using a gm file that I had generated, my first one, noticed the G70 was the first number in the numerical list did the dry run on it and the plasma ran first and the plate marker second. Their not sequencing. I was wondering if I can use the output control to change those around? Thank you for this forum...
Tried to save a draft closed out now I don't know how to find it. Spend a lot of time writing it too. To many cuss words for that mistake....... Basically everything I wrote Friday never mind I'll follow up later done a lot of studying...
The g70 is not the tool. M06 T# is switching between tools in the G-code. I included a multitool tutorial that goes over the process.
The command G70 refers to your units (inches) the command G06 T# refers to a tool change command platemarker would be T2. When you Machine Output you want to ensure Tool reads Multi-tool as well as your platemarker is set to Turret 2 in your tool library under Machine.
Thank you guys, been having problems sequencing. Do I text to graphic> make path> or just go to>machine? In the layout>sequencing> sequencing by list, drop down box> I have my issues there I think.. Is this what it's suppose to look like. Do I group????? I think I made 1 file that might work. The others kept showing t1 as the first tool.
It is your sequence, the outside square should be the last object to cut, needs to be moved to the back. When creating a tool path on the letters you need to use the plate marker tool, only use Group if you know what you are doing otherwise Make Path is the preferred method to turn multiple objects into one.
Wow ok. Thanks for the quick reply.... I just did a new file t1 first t2 second. Here's a step by step what I did. Used group, it did make a difference in the sequence by list but didn't work . I'm messing a step some where. When do I use make a path? Maybe that's my problem? I'll keep trying till I hear from you again. Thanks again
If you are generating TEXT that will be scribed and cut the outside perimeter then you will keep the text and outside perimeter separate. so you will not MAKE PATH on all of it. So just select your text and generate your PLATE MARKER tool path (ONLINE) with a feed rate of 40-50ipm. Then select the outside and create your MALE tool path with a 100 for a feed rate. Go to VIEW/SHOW TOOL PATHS ONLY. Put into the x0y0. then select all and go to LAYOUT/SEQUENCE/START SEQUENCE BY LIST. Select your text and make it first. The outside last. OUTPUT. Then press the REMOTE on the CUT TOOLBAR and simulate the gcode to verify the plate marker goes first.
I'm sorry the numerical manger is that what you are referring to as the remote? Bear with me please trying to understand your your tech talk.
YAHOO it worked!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's see if I can do it again. Thank you Chad really appreciate your patience.
5th try. I think I'm doing it the same as the 1st try. This is driving me crazy. Here's what my remote is showing.
ok... I think what is happening is that the Vduggin (text) in not MAKE PATH. so go to VIEW/SHOW TOOL PATHS ONLY Delete the tool paths you created go to VIEW/SHOW TOOL PATHS Select just the text. ARRANGE/MAKE PATH Select the text and generate your ONLINE tool path and select the PLATE MARKER as a tool. Then select the outside feature. Create a MALE tool path. Once those two are created then go to VIEW/SHOW TOOL PATHS ONLY select all (ctrl + a) Go to LAYOUT/SEQUENCE/START SEQUENCE BY LIST press TOOL PATHS ONLY Select the text and press TO FRONT Press OK. Move to x0 y0 MACHINE/OUTPUT
