I am looking to run the accumove controller wirelessly. I have seen it on Torchmate videos, but I have yet to figure out how to do it.. When I start vmd , and try to run the troubleshooter, none of the buttons are active.

The topology you have determines how it should be configured.
    Describe your setup

torchmate gs 4x4 accumomove 2 controller, magnetic breakaway with omhic, hypertherm powermax 45 . currentyly running vmd on desktop. want to run wireless via dell xps 13 2in 1. does the accumove controller have a wireless capability or does it have to be configured through a router.

    accumove doesn't support wireless natively
you'd connect accumove to your wireless switch across lan or connect accumove to a local wireless AP that has a lan input. the AP connects wirelessly to your dhcp server/router
i assume your pc is already connected to the dhcp server across the lan. you can disconnect or disable it
to ensure reliability if you haven't already and your using the default ip addresses (accumove 192.168.1.7 & VMD 192.168.1.6 or .8) I'd reserve the 5 ip addresses as static from 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.9 to make sure the dhcp server doesn't hand out a new address to your PC or gives the static address of the controller to another device which may happen if you power a device up before your vmd or controller.
make sure your wireless connection properties at your pc have a static ip address of 192.168.1.6 or 8 (I cannot remember the default for VMD). you can see yours in the connection tab under options
