Here is a bulldozer my students built. It is fully hydraulic, 10 hp diesel motor. Our 4 x 4 table was put to good use cutting a multitude of parts for it.
Was this a high school? Did you guys document the build as you went, would be awesome to see how that went.
Yes it was with grade 11/12 students. It was about a year long project, unfortunately we didn't document the build.
First, looks like you got some good kids and they probably have a pretty good teacher. Second, I'm curious how they linked the tracks and what brand was the little diesel?
Tracks were an agricultural chain to match the sprockets, they are pinned with the supplied pin. The diesel is no brand name, offshore China to keep costs down.
I purchased the plans from the internet but don't recommend them as they were full of mistakes and errors. For most of the build we just reconfigured the mess and made it work.
