So I planned on leaving for a road trip to montana and idaho tomorrow and desided to turn out some signs for my friends i'm staying with. I made the first sign ok and the machine was working ok. (Still trying to figure out cut quality and if the machine is binding because some lines are not coming out smooth.) I drew the second sign, made the .gm file, transferred to the table, hit run, it started off normal, torch fired and made circle.... then the torch stayed on, the torch never raised up, and moved along the plate to the next shape to be cut out meanwhile cutting up the plate along its way. I thought I did something wrong in drawing it so I started completely over in CAD. Created the new G code, loaded it up and tried a dry run, same thing, torch didnt raise up. So I uploaded a older .gm file and tested it, worked fine. So I figured something was wrong with the CAD. I checked the G code and found there was no M65. Watching the other job codes M64 brought the torch down and M65 brought it up. I tried restarting everything, redrawing everything, regenerating the .gm file and still never got the M65. So I decide I'd delete my CAD and reinstall. It didn't seem to help. Not sure what I did wrong or what went wrong, but I've I been chasing this for a couple hours now. I got catch about 5 hrs sleep before I get up and drive 16hrs tomorrow, yeah. I wont be back for about 12 days but any input for when I get back would be GREATLY appreciated. Here is a picture of the first file that would work, its trying to cut out the word OUTFITTER
Here you can see that it wants to cut out the "O" first, so it drops the torch and cuts over to the "O", then raises to go to the next shape.
Here you can see it goes to the inner circle of this test file, cuts it out and then cuts it way to the outer.
The M64 is PLASMA ON. So it seems it is not M65 PLASMA OFF during one of the rapid travels. Id be interested in seeing the two different CDL files of each item to check and output them.
You should see a M65 Tool Off command before the next G00 Rapid, which after that you will see another G64 Tool On command.
