I have my growth 4x4 up and going but today went out to cut a part and the servos will not turn on. I put antivirus software on it a week ago and now I cant get the vdm to control my servos. I deleted the software but still nothing. Looking for some help. It will connect to the vdm but keeps telling me to turn the drives on. I wish there was some sort of help from them on the weekends and nights.
Stupid question from me, but did you hit the DATUM button on the VMD when it asked you to turn the drives on? Mike
OK, That was all I could think of. The datum has to be hit every time the VMD is turned on. Sorry I coul'nt be of more help. Mike
So you press DATAM and still no jogging? GO to LOG ON. Admin (password 1234) go to MACHINE settings. Press FACTORY RESET. shut everything down and count to 30. Turn the AM on. Count to 30. Start the VMD. Connect and DATUM. Log on as ADMIN. (passwoerd 1234) Machine Settings. LOAD CONFIGURATION. Select your machine so it turns BLUE and DO NOT CHECK the check box. Then press OK. Press DATUM and see if you get movement.
Chad, When I follow those steps it still does not work. It keeps popping up a box that says action required on controller "AMC" Please switch the drives on. The only thing I can click on is a hide butten
I bought a cheap $300 "all-in-one" computer from amazon to run the VMD and during the initial start up I accidentally clicked the ok button to load the antivirus. I couldn't get the computer to communicate with the accumove and the computer was running SOOOO slow. I removed the antivirus and it fixed everything. I'm pretty positive you have to turn off the firewall to run the VMD and the antivirus doesn't like that. I have two computers in my shop. A nice desktop for internet, office work, and Torchmate CAD work and the cheap one to operate the table.
