This was all hand formed. I cut the ribs out with the Torchmate. We orders the nose cone it was made from a half sphere. The fins were formed with some press and dies we made and used with our press. The screw (propeller) was formed from pieces cut out and rolled. We machined a special fitting to hold it on. With the help of our press brake, we formed the rest.
This was for a SubMariner Group and this is what they wanted. The sub is now used as a float that they take around for parades. It was fun to work with and listen to all of the stories of the WWII- today veterans who served on submarines.
