Needed to use a different computer than normal to run my table for a little bit so i grabbed my tower from home and Couldn't recall which version i had installed on the origonal pc, so i followed the instructions on the TM website. Downloaded TM4.5.. it asked for a license, so i uninstalled and installed 4.0.61 now i get and error that reads- (The start up file "C:\ProgramData\torchmate\torchmate4\Startup.ini" is formatted for a later version and cannot be used with version 4.0.61 the the software torchmate requires this file for start up. Please reinstall to regenerate this file. ) i tried reinstalling, uninstalling, updating, you name it.. i tried it. i even brought the tower back home thinking maybe the DL was corrupt and tried re DL'ing it.. I have terrible reception and no wifi yet at my new shop... can anyone make an suggestions? Turns out the version I was running on my other pc was 4.0.47
Uninstall the TM4 software using the Uninstall on the computer. Then do a Windows search for Show Hidden Files Set it to Show Hidden files, folders etc(see image) Then go the the C: drive on the computer Program Data>locate the Torchmate folder and delete it Reinstall TM V4.0
ok, so i got it downloaded, got it to start. However now it will only stay connected to the table for about 10 seconds and loses connection... then continues to connect and disconnect (you can here the ding for the computer recognizing a new usb device over and over... its windows 10.. trying compatiblitiy mode for windows 7... same issue.. This happened the day after my 1st post but ive been so busy i just went back to using my laptop... i have an older version of software 4.0.47 and that has no issues... where the hell do i get that version???
Torchmate 4.0 is available on our website, did you follow Matt's suggestions on deleting the Torchmate folder under Program Data.
