    Howdy!
My name is Justin and I recently bought a 4x4 Growth Series with the Hypertherm 65. Ill primarily be using it for hobby type work but, like everyone, hope to grow it into some sort of side business down the road. I have a engineering (graduated from Texas A&M - GIG 'EM!) and racing background.

I like the projects I have been seeing on this forum and hope to share some of my projects, experiences, and (inevitably) frustrations along the way! I look forward to talking with y'all and becoming well-versed within the Torchmate community.

Hello! My name is Jeremy. As a Power Plant Operator/Maintenance Tech I do some fabrication as part of my job, but being an offroad fanatic is what really drives my interest for all things fab. I'm always looking to learn more skills, tips, and tricks (and hopefully share a few) so this looks like the right place to be. I recently had the privilege to be involved with the first Design/Cut/Build competition at Torchmate's facility in Reno. The opportunity to learn about and operate top shelf machines was an amazing experience for a hobby guy like me, and it was also a lot of fun hanging out with such a great group of people.

Hi, my name is Avery and I am a fabricator from Michigan. I like designing and working with CAD. I also like working with math and doing pattern layout. With fabrication, the learning never really ends so I always find myself browsing the webs to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I hope you guys can help me figure some stuff out, and maybe I can share some of my experiences too!

Hey everyone. Just signed up. Most people call me Mark. I work for GM at the Milford Proving Grounds doing 3D CAD design in NX. I do a lot of product, fixture and test cell design and am pretty much a jack of all trades when it comes to the design work.
My home shop is a 30 x 74 pole barn. I have a 2 post hoist and a lot of the requisite fab equipment.
I have a Pro-Touring styled Astro Van going together in my shop right now. It's been a long haul but the major fab work is done and now it's all time consuming little things to finish.
I'm glad to be here and hope to learn a few things as well.

Thanks for the quick welcome! A running build thread I can do but there is 11 years of build thread here:

Click that link and it will take you on a real trip. 37 pages and over 155,000 views. I started the design work for the van in '04. The real build starts in 2011 and I "hope" to have it drivable this year...

Hey eveyone, im shawn. Live in central pennsylvania. Avid DIY'er and pretty much dabble a little bit in everything. Looking to gain some more knowledge with fab and welding. Have a Hobart 135 mig for a couple years now and would like to expand into some TIG.

I'm John, and I love making things. I work at a pretty world class shop making things I could only have dreamed of making. I went through SMWIA's free apprenticeship program after deciding college was not for me, and I could not be happier with my career choice. Being able to build pretty much anything is pretty dang awesome. I love jigs and fixtures, and anything to do with working effectively and efficiently. I dream of having my own job and supply shop.

Hello from Alaska- We got a 4400 GS, Blue screen AVHC, Version 4 software, Powermax 85 & plate marker, from an Auction that was basically unused. We have been spending the last few months getting it set up and all the bugs ironed out. We didn't get the in-house training and the machine is older so troubleshooting is having to look way back on forums like this. We are getting very close to production and are excited. We are going to use this for a side business and for our own "project vehicles". Thanks to everyone on the forum all for the support. My background is drafting and construction, my Business partners is automotive and welding.

Hi. I just join the group. Have a TM3 I bought back in 06. Haven't had a place to set it up the last 6 years so I'll be starting from scratch again. Shop will be finished this coming summer so excited to get it going again. Thinking of upgrading the electronics. I have the old avhc blue screen. Appreciate all the knowledge shared in the forums. Thanks
