    LC100M torch

I have a 4800 table with lc105m torch and got a replacement lc100m torch because we got a letter saying the 105 had premature failure. I was just wondering what the specific advantages are to the lc100m and if I should replace my lc105m now since it seems to be working fine at the moment.

Gas for cutting aluminum with torchmate 4800

I've hard that using some sort of argon helium mix for cutting aluminum can yield less dros and cleaner cut. Does anyone know specific ratios that can be used with a torchmate machine?

    Electrode melting

A few weeks ago I was cutting some 1/2" plate with torchmate 4800 and the electrode melted and I figured that it was just because it had been used for a while. Then recently I was cutting 3/4" and the electrode also melted and so I was wondering if maybe there's something I need to be careful...

    Jogging along tool path

I have a torchmate 4800 and I was wondering if there's a way to jog the torch along the tool path in torchmate vmd so that if something goes wrong with the cut and the torch stops I can jog back to the spot that's not cut and recut that section. Hopefully that makes sense as to what I'm...

Y-axis motors moving in opposite directions

I came back to my torchmate 4800 after a few weeks of not using it and I had an error when opening the torchmate vmd software so I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the torchmate vmd. Now the datum button doesn't work and when I try to jog it in the y direction, the two motors move the two...

    Finding perimeter of job

I want to be able to take a job for a customer and draw it up in torchmate cad/cam and then find the perimeter of all the parts that I have to cut, so basically how far the torch will travel while it's turned on. Then I can use that length to quote the job for the customer based on a set rate...

    Small circle cut quality

Yes, when I wiggle the gantry around, both the x and y axes seemed to move a little bit but the x axis moved a little bit more I think.

    Small circle cut quality

I tried that and I had to push pretty hard to get it to move.

    Small circle cut quality

Thanks for the input. What could I do to check/fix mechanical issues that I might be having?

    Small circle cut quality

I am using a torchmate 4800 with a flexcut 80 and have been having some trouble with the cut quality of circles that are less than an inch or two. The smaller circles that I cut out are not super round and circular and they often look out of shape a little. I have done some research online and...
