Anyone know a way to run the student CAD software using a Mac operating system? All my students have Mac books however the program I’m downloading will not work with the system.
thanks for any help!
I purchased the master EDU however I am having an issue converting my students work from a .edu file on the desktop I have the master licence downloaded on. The version I have on the desktop is Torchmate CAD-CAM V9.lnk. Is this the right version or is the Master EDU program have a different...
When you say swapping the wires are you taking about unhooking the wires from the back of the adapter that plugs into the accumove and swapping them? I ask because how they are is the way it came from the factory.
I manually started the platemarker today and it shot down to the plate like a...
We recently installed a platemarker to our 4400. We followed the instructions and have our offset set up. The issue is when we run the file the platemarker moves to the right location but doesn’t go down to touch the steel. It will move through the entire file but never move down. Air pressure...
Big thank you to everyone on this site for the help with my past problems!
I have a 4400 and it ran multiple parts just fine all day then it started nosediving into the material. I checked this site and found another user with that problem and the suggestion was to reset the torch height. I...
Thanks for the info.
Before I was able to check your post I noticed there was some corrosion on the contact points where the three ball bearings connect. I filed and cleaned the points and it seems to have fixed my problem. Will be sure to check the center magnet distance when we’re back at...
Anyone have any suggestions on why my breakaway is staying open? If I put just a little pressure on the torch it will close but as soon as I take the pressure off it opens. It will also connect but as soon as the gantry moves it will flicker between open and connected. I have a 4400 and running...
I checked the code and its like you said, the old files have the F value and the new ones do not. I went into the CAD software and the Feedrate box is checked but it is still running to fast.
Thank for helping me out with this
Thanks for the idea and I checked under the settings and everything is set to IPM. I can get it to cut properly but I have to drop the speed on the VMD. If I normally cut at 90 I have to drop to 30 to get the cut quality that I want.
I recently had to reinstall the CAD software to the computer that I draw with. Ever since I have done this all of my new cut files are cutting to fast on my table. I have it set at the correct speed on DMD but it’s cutting faster than what I have it set at. My old cut files are working perfect...
We use a water/sodium nitrite solution in ours and green food coloring with zero problems so far. Have to top the water table off periodically but this mix works great for us.
Only thing with this solilution is depending on what type accumove your running could lead to premature consumable...
Thanks for for the help. It was seized up and tech support has me set up to fix it. I have an air dryer as well as a motor guard filter in the air line, but that is good information to know for the future. Still trying to figure out the cause so it doesn’t happen again. I have students...
Started having issues with my 4400 today and I am lost and needing some help from someone who is smarter than I am. I have a Flexcut80 with Accumove 2.
Everything ran smoothly for hours cutting 1/8 then the torch started nosediving into the material. We checked consumables and all showed...
