My 2x4 was working perfectly before I did a realignment on it. Now when I go to cut something it cuts the first point, moves to the second point and then the avhc never drops. I then get the error about the pierce signal.

I think the pierce signal is legit, because the torch never drops. I can't seem to figure out why the torch isn't dropping at times though. I will jump to a previous point in the code, then jump back (even if it is one line of code), then hit start. It will drop, cut, move to the next spot, and repeat the problem.

Any thoughts? I have been checking cables for the AVHC, but I think things look good/tight.

Well, I am going to chalk this one up to an older laptop and/or program issue. Shortly after posting this my TM4 program froze up. I killed it, relaunched it, setup all of zeros, and discovered it was having tooling issues... kind of like it didn't completely load the setup file. I corrected the tool issue and started cutting and it didn't seem to have issues. Strange.

I had a similar problem, i would go to dry cut, and it was like a 10" part shrank to 2", then tm would freeze. After restart, problem would go away usually. A day later pc crashed, replaced lap top and problem went away.

jdh239, you inspired me to get into cnc. Thank you for all you do, post and document
