does anybody with a new/recent 4x4 GS know if there have been any changes to the water table? I have a 2 piece table seems like it will fit when bolted together, center supports don't line up, also on the side plates the torchmate logo and 4x4 is not cutout , instuctions say use the long side piece with the logo ,there are 4 long pieces 2@ 31'' 2@34'' its together but doesnt seem right ..

    Big Joe,

I noticed the same thing. The sides do not have the Torchmate logo cutouts and red backing plates, and the water tray is two symmetrical halves instead of three pieces. I am assembling the legs of my table tomorrow so I will have a better feel for what you are talking about. It looks like the 4x4 table is an amalgamation of 2x2 and 2x4 table parts to make up the bigger 4x4 table, probably to save costs. That's why the center legs are offset and the arched side panels are not the same length. BUt once assembled the interior dims should accommodate the water tray. The (2) one piece water trays are an improvement, the lack of logo sides moderately disappointing. I know it doesn't make a jot of difference in the way the machine works but I always liked the way that looked and it was a "quality" touch. So probably another costs saving deal. Hopefully no more surprises.

    Will

Both issues are a cost savings solution as well as a way to speed up production, you can download the updated Assembly Manual from our website (under Support > Machine Help), that shows the two piece pan.

may I suggest some red vinyl decals for our units, I was moderately disappointed as well.. I did just print the revised manual, and all my questions are answered.. who ever packed these units did one heck of a job. that breakaway torch holder is sweet.. one more ? manual says 3''slats this time instead of 4'' which is it? glad I did not have them made up yet$$$

3" slats is what you need.

Why 3" ? The old manual says 3-4", and the new manual 3" - Why the change? Just wondering... thanks.

I also was kinda disappointed when I received my water table without the logos cutout .. I paid good money thinking I was buying what I saw on the website then received something different . At least an upfront notice woulda been appreciated from the sales rep .

image.jpeg I run my shop part time now and really just started assembly last week .i haven't got to cut anything yet .. I ran 3.5 inch slates .. Instructions said 3-4 so local place said they shear regardless so they did 3.5 at same price . I'll let you know what I think once I start cutting
