    Here is my contest entry. Nothing special. This is just using a basic shape, the array tool, XOR weld and weld tool in cad

    1 First I started off with 2 ovals. One .5 x 1.25 and 1 .25 x 1.125 ( pic 1 )

    2 then I control K and then off set then a little and did a XOR ( pic 2)

    3 then deleted the part on the bottom and came up with this part ( pic 3 )

    4 then I used the array tool with rotate and made the flower. I had to go in and clean it up a little after welding it together. I also had to make sure it was a poyarc. ( pic 4)

    ( NOTE ALWAYS COPY THE PART FOR YOU ALWAQYS HAVE THE ORIGIONAL )

    5. then I made the cone I took the part and turned it 45 deg and then used the array tool to make the parts. For 1 side. I then reduced each part going up by .1 of an inch over the last one. And then did an control K left. Copy the top one. You will use it in just a minute. Then used the arrow keys to move each part into place. Then welded and cleaned up as a polyarc. Then I did an did a copy, mirror hor. And moved it into place. Then brought the copied one down into place and did a weld on it

    6 now I have the flower and cone. I rotated the cone 180. I did an Alt K and centered them. The highlighted the cone and did an array on it to match the flower ( pic 6 )

    Then did a weld on all of that.

    7. then I grabbed the original part, made a copy of it, inverted it so that the U was pointing up and did a control K on it. Then used the array tool to make the outside ring. Then welded it. (pic 7)

    8. Then I welded the center to the outside ring ( pic 8)

    9 then I did a male tool path in cad. ( pic 9 )

    Note if your can isn’t set up to do tool paths, this might be hard to do as a DXF file import

    10. Then I cut it using a fine cut nozzle at 70 ipm ( pic 10)

    I have a TM 4x4, air drier and a PM 65. AVHC on

    This is in 12G steel and here are my settings

    Air 120 psi

    PM at 32 amps

    AVHC

    Pierce delay .3

    Sensing delay 5.0

    Pierce height 21

    Cut height 19

    Voltage 78

    Thank you, I just wanted to do something simple for this showing that you can make cool stuff without lots of tools and abilities. Just basic CAD functions and basic table operations.

    I thought I would post a picture of the final product. We turned it into a trivet for a customer a little fine sanding and then some copper FX. I think it turned out great for a quick project

    Nice, I hope they are back to basics. Using TM cad and showing what people can do with the machine alone
